New York English Center’s mission is to provide an Intensive English Program (IEP) that trains a culturally diverse international student body to become fluent in American English, and is meeting that mission well for the past 16 years. NYEC is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), authorized by the Department of Homeland Security to issue and support F-1 visas, licensed by the Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS), and a member of the American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP) which promotes commendable and professional standards for the intensive English courses being offered. All licensed instructors use teaching methodology direct attention to student-to-student interaction and overall class participation.
